Too often, we find the Advent season becoming a time of busyness, distraction, and fatigue. We know that it should be about much more than that, and yet, each year we find ourselves in the same holiday frenzy, moving too quickly to notice what matters most.

It's for this reason that we created our Advent guide and book collection. We wanted to give families a way to create an Advent rooted in remembrance of Jesus, connection with one another, and opportunities to reflect on the miracle of His coming.

If you've ever used one of our studies, you know we're big into recipes and feasts. There are a lot of reasons why--cooking is a necessary life skill, it teaches creative and critical thinking, it inspires our kids to be confident and capable.

But everyone knows cooking the meal is only half the story. The other half is the experience of eating. The way food can connect us to the experiences of people who lived long ago or far away. How it can let us see and taste and feel what people really ate in another time.

The best part though? Sharing a meal with your family and community, and the opportunity it creates to discuss what you've learned, what stuck out to you from your lessons, and how it will change your worldview moving forward. Connection is the heart of a shared meal, and connection is the core of what we do.

Hello friends,

Over the summer, many of you reached out to us with questions and did not receive responses. We know that this was frustrating and broke down trust. We are sorry. We want to be a key partner for you as you educate your children, and to those of you who did not receive a response, we let you down.

There were both technical and staffing issues that led to this, but regardless of the reasons, we are committed to doing better. We are tracking down the technical issues, which were connected with our new website launch, and investing in more staffing.
