The Story Nook Welcome to the The Story Nook Children's Bookstore! My name is Faye Skandalakis and I am the owner of The Story Nook.

I've always loved reading and when I had my first child back in 2004, my love for children's literature became even stronger. Four children and seven years later, I felt compelled to share our favorite stories. With the support of family and friends, the Story Nook Children's bookstore was created. In September 2013, The Story Nook partnered up with the Astoria Bookshop, an independent bookstore l

ocated in Astoria, NY. All book purchases can be made through the book shop's website, www.astoriabookshop.com or at the bookstore located at 31-29 31st street. We are open from Tuesday to Sunday, 11am to 7pm. My plan is also to familiarize everyone with the changes in the core curriculum that our schools (at least in NYC) are undergoing...I will be posting recommendations on appropriate books for all grades...
