Field Notes from the Shadow Garden:

Every day we have fun interactions and some of them we can't help but share.
At the very end of the day last night, some truly lovely folks came into our shop. Harper stayed open late as they fell instantly in love with the shop. As they talked one shared that he was a banker - you thougth we only had artists and weirdos that shopped with us - didn't you? You'd be very surprised to find out that you are wrong (if you did).

Harper remembered that I showed him this vintage Vicky Davis piggy bank tie with an actual penny welded to a post that goes right through the necktie, so he called me to ask if I had that ready to go on the floor. I was pricing it as I picked up the phone.

It was meant to be.

Now, somewhere, at some bank, just know that hiding below a very buttoned-up suit lapel, there hides a cute little pig with a real penny and a memory we'll all carry around for a while of serendipity doing what serendipity does when you let it!
