It’s ok, I will recycle it….. Right?

That’s what I used to think but then, I found out only a small percentage of the plastic we recycle actually gets recycled AND at what cost. I learned about this via a documentary on Netflix which opened my eyes and made me rethink about the products I consumed, about how much I really needed them and most importantly about the alternatives I had. That is how my journey towards sustainability truly began.
This is what The Sustainable CO-OP Store is about. It’s about providing alternatives that are available to everyone.
Recycling is still important, but it’s not the solution to the plastic problem.
If you haven’t watched the documentary already, I highly recommend you do. The series is called Broken, episode 4 Recycling Sham.
