We are hosting a fun Customer Appreciation HOLIDAY PARTY!

When: THURSDAY, December 8, 2022 | 5pm - 8pm (or later)

Where: 4826 Main Avenue... at the UNGUENTARII store.

The party will freely mix between the storefront and our workshop. (There is much more room than it seems from just the store view.)

We will be having wines, sangria, warmed cider, beer, cheeses, veggies, cookies, munchies, and warm appetizers.

We have so many wonderful customers, and we want everyone to know how much all customers have been appreciated over the last few years.

We hope to see you at the party if you can make it!

Now for the Major Announcements:

1. Retail store rollback.

After this holiday season, we will be rolling back our retail storefront operations.

We will still be here. Our wonderful workshop is here, and we will still be manufacturing and operating from this location.

We will still serve our local customers to come and shop by appointment in our workshop, simply entering through the side entrance instead of the front entrance.

Additionally, in Janurary 2023 we will be lowering the Free Shipping amount from $99 to $35 so anyone locally can have the convenience to shop online and have orders shipped if more convenient.

2. Gift cards will still function just the same.

All gift cards will continue to be redeemable.

We are still using the same retail systems, so there should be very little in the way of changes. Gift cards from the new system will continue to function online or in the workshop.

Some older cards may need to be redeemed in the workshop only or reissued to function online.

3. Holiday pop-up shop.

To make holiday shopping and gift giving easier in the future, we are planning to have an annual Holiday Pop-Up Shop (and more parties) for the month of December starting in 2023.

So..... those are the major changes and now you are all caught up.

(For those who are not local, our apologies for not being able to come to the party... but we still wanted you to know about the coming changes since many of you visit when you are in town. Let us know when you're coming next and we'll have a good time then.)

It appears the store will continue to be closed through the weekend. Our apologies for any inconvenience. After the unexpected amount of snow we have received, the parking lot has yet to be cleared and there is no way for anyone to park there at the moment.

It has been a bit longer since you've gotten an update about UNGUENTARII than I would have preferred, but we wanted to be certain about our timeline before sending an update. We now have a firm but realistic date!

Due to supply chain issues and getting our new systems completely in place to have a truly seamless operation between online and local retail, we have had to reset our reopening to Tuesday, May 24, 2022. This has been more about the supply chain than anything else, but should be just enough time to get everything done the way we really want, and offer you the highest level of service from this point forward.

As of today we will be migrating the newsletter management into the same system as our new website and retail store systems, so everything will all be in one place... so it may look like it is from a different sender than usual.

The new website is nearly done, and if we can unveil it before the store reopens then we will, but the timeline will likely be close.

We are excited to get reopened and see familiar faces, and to share all the new aromas we have created for you. We hope you will love them as much as we do!

I don't want to take your time and go on and on about all the cool new changes because you will see them very soon, but I just wanted to take a moment and let you know where we are with this crazy process.

HUGE CHANGES AT UNGUENTARII... (date correction)

We will be open regular hours through Saturday (2/19) this week, and then we will be closing for 4 to 6 weeks while we go through our internal transformations...

We are upgrading packaging and launching some new formulations across all of the type of products we offer, as well as expanding our already great selection of pure essential oils!

So, if you will need anything during that interim, please come in this week so we can take care of you.

Due to the impending winter storm, we will be closed Thursday and Friday, Feb. 3 & 4.

The roads will be very icy and we will likely have another sizable mountain of snow to figure out what to do with before reopening.

We are planning to be open Saturday, Feb. 5 for our regular hours, 12 - 4 pm.
