💗 An Important Update from Sage & Root 💗

As many of you have heard, The Mill AKY is closing, which means Broadway Books will be moving out of their shared location, with exciting future plans currently in development.

Today, Sage & Root gathered all of our plants from the display, and we will be removing all remaining products by the end of the month. 🪴

We encourage everyone to enjoy a meal at The Mill while you still can and to send the owners and their families warm holiday wishes and words of encouragement. Small businesses shape the heart of our community, and we are grateful for the time spent alongside them.

Please also stop in to snag a book and be sure to follow Broadway Books online so you can keep up with their next chapter. 📚✨

As for Sage & Root—we will be resting alongside nature through the winter months, letting the season of stillness prepare us for Spring’s new opportunities for growth. 🌿💗

💛 A Letter from Me, from The Mill 💛

After almost 6 incredible years, I’ve made the very difficult decision to close The Mill’s doors for good on December 31st.

This decision hasn’t come easy, it’s one I’ve prayed over, cried over, and thought about for a long time. For nearly six years, I’ve poured my heart and soul into this place into our employees, our guests, and this community that has become like family. It’s been the hardest and best thing I’ve ever done, and I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it.

But as one season ends, another begins. We’ve been blessed with something we thought would never happen, the chance to grow our family, and this next chapter deserves my whole heart. This is a season for family, for slowing down, and for being fully present in the moments that matter most.

To everyone who has supported The Mill, believed in us, and made memories with us, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You’ve given me purpose, joy, and a lifetime of memories.

To my team who stayed through the thick and thin, THANK YOU. You showed up on the hard days, the long nights, and the moments no one else saw, and that loyalty will never be forgotten. This place was more than a job because of you. I’m endlessly grateful for your hearts, your work ethic, and the love you poured into our guests and into me. I couldn’t have done any of it without you. 🤍

Please, come see us before the end of the year. Take care of this amazing staff. Let’s laugh, reminisce, and soak up these last days together. And if you have a favorite photo, story, or memory from The Mill, I’d love for you to share it in the comments below. I want to remember it all.
