Since opening in 2011, the Moog Store has served as a public portal to the Moog factory, inviting passionate synthesists to come inside and experience the sonic capabilities of Moog first-hand, as well as have access to new electronic instruments and devices in person. Containing 60 years of revolutionary synthesizer technology, the Moog Store has been a destination for those who wish to create, explore, and be inspired.

As we prepare for the next chapter of Moog Music, the Moog Store will be closing its doors. Our factory will remain open, and our talented engineers will still be in there, hand-crafting the instruments that define us. Our shift away from brick-and-mortar sales allows us greater bandwidth to focus on researching and developing the next generation of synthesizers and support more classic Moog releases.

To those who have visited the store to explore our instruments, participate in our workshops and factory tours, and engage with our engineers and designers, we have the utmost gratitude. We encourage everyone to visit the Moogseum in downtown Asheville at 56 Broadway Street where Bob Moog’s legacy is carried forward through education and archive preservation. We too are committed to his legacy of innovation and excellence and look forward to sharing the work we have been doing with you all soon.

We are operating on limited hours this week. From Monday, March 18 to Friday, March 23, the Moog Store will be open 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Come to our end of the year, holiday blowout sale!

Starting tomorrow, and going through the end of 2023, we will be offering huge deals on all third-party instruments, records, books, apparel, and more.

There will be discounts as high as 70% off select items, so this will be a great opportunity for some last-minute holiday gift shopping.

It’s our way of saying thank you for all your support over the years. But come soon, as our hours are limited over the next two weeks. We will be closing at 2 p.m. on Friday and reopening Thursday, Dec. 28 for the final two days of the sale.

Hello, friends of the Moog Store.

We wanted to let you know about a couple of changes happening here at the store.

First of all, we are changing the format of our daily tours. Because of staffing issues and the fact that the factory is currently working on some exciting, yet-to-be-announced products that we aren't yet ready to show the world, we've decided to end the factory portion of the tours for the foreseeable future.

The good news is that we will still be offering in-store presentations at 10:30 and 3:30 each weekday that focus on the history of the company and feature demonstrations of the instruments, including both Bob's legendary synthesizers like the Moog Modular and the Minimoog, and the modern instruments we make today.

If you visited us during the Covid pandemic, you would have experienced one of these presentations, and know that they are very fun and informative. They last 45 minutes and are free.

Secondly, we have cut hours to be open only on weekdays when the factory itself is open. So come visit us from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

If you're in town only on the weekend, consider checking out the Moogseum, which is just a ten minute walk from us. They are not affiliated with Moog Music, as they are operated by the non-profit Bob Moog Foundation, but they have a very cool museum that focuses on the history of Bob Moog and his inventions.

Thanks for your understanding and patience as we navigate these changes. We hope you'll continue to come see us and experience a part of this important piece of music history.

The Moog Store has new hours.
We are now open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM and are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we've had to cancel the first Synth Saturdays event this weekend. The store will be open, however, from noon until 5.
