Here’s how it began....
We're two Christian homeschooling moms who've dreamed of a consignment bookstore for a long time and finally decided to go for it! Between us, we have six children nine and under and we've been homeschooling for several years.
We're excited to share our love of learning, books, and bargain hunting. Western North Carolina is full of homeschoolers, but we had a hard time finding a good resource for used homeschool stuff. We want to make it easier for other families like us to find a better deal on books and supplies without having to drive to another city and give them a chance to compare curriculums in person rather than online. We also want to provide homeschooling families with a place where they can get a fair price for their used resources without the difficulties of trying to sell their items themselves.
Books are a crucial part of education and we stock a variety of children’s fiction and non-fiction as well as elementary and YA fiction. We’re not just for homeschoolers!
We hope New Horizons Book Loft will be a place for all families to find a good book, share resources, build community, and save some money!
