I, Luke will be posting a new verse weekly to encourage myself and my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Todays focus is trust in our Heavenly Father. Don't forget that we know nothing in light of Jesus' endless knowledge, and we have no value without Jesus Christ, yet he chose us to be His.

Trust Him and he will blow you away. Bless you in the mighty name of Jesus!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday, and a big thank you to our local authors for making it happen!

We loved see seeing community and good conversation happen all evening in the store and it was certainly a day to remember.

The celebration is on-going and we want to extend our 20% discount on all local author items until the end of the week!

Happy Presidents Day! We at The Parable hope you get some well deserved rest, and pray for our nation!

Secondarily, we want to tell you about our third and final local author who's coming to our store this Saturday!

Along with her husband, Rick, Becky Olmstead co-founded the Vineyard Church of the Rockies in 1982. Becky has been the Global Leader of the 4/14 Movement and the National Kids Leader for Vineyard USA.
Having come into relationship with Jesus as a child, Becky has been a voice for kids, not just in their local church, but in the Vineyard USA and internationally. She has dedicated her life to making Jesus known to children and equipping kids' ministry leaders.
She currently lives in San Luis Obispo and directs the kid’s ministry at Arise Central Coast Vineyard.
Becky is the author of two books: You Can Be a Hero and The Best News Ever, both of which aim to inspire and ignite the love and power of God in children.

Here's a little bit about Vanessa.

Author Vanessa Shepherd has a rich background in ministry, having served as both a youth and senior pastor for over a decade.
In November 2019, she released her first book, "The Good in the Awful," which shares God's love story with her brother and has touched many hearts. Her latest book, "The Ugly House," explores the themes of salvation and sanctification.
Balancing a busy family life with her husband and three children, she finds beauty in the chaos and writes to share God's message, guided by the belief expressed in Romans 8:28.
