🌸💐 Senior Floral Class Today 💐🌸

There is something truly special about teaching floral design to seniors. Today’s class was filled with smiles, creativity, storytelling, and beautiful blooms. Watching each arrangement come together reminds me that flowers have a wonderful way of bringing joy, sparking memories, and creating meaningful connections.

Today we worked with vibrant roses, seasonal greenery, and colorful accents, transforming simple stems into beautiful works of art. Every arrangement reflected the personality and creativity of its designer, and that is what makes these classes so rewarding.

Thank you to all of my wonderful students for spending part of your day with me. Your enthusiasm, kindness, and laughter make every class memorable. It is always an honor to share my passion for flowers with you.

Flowers may begin as stems and petals, but by the end of class they become confidence, conversation, friendship, and joy. 🌿✨

☀️ Happy Tuesday, friends! Summer is officially here, and today was such a joy.

I had the pleasure of spending time with my friend Teresa at Open to Being in Arlington, and let me tell you—she is absolutely incredible. She showed us the art of pulling cards with intention, meaning, and a little bit of magic. Watching her share her knowledge was inspiring, thoughtful, and so much fun.

Teresa is one of those people who lights up a room—funny, creative, full of personality, and genuinely passionate about what she does. If you’re looking for wedding invitations, stationery, greeting cards, custom paper goods, or something truly unique, I highly recommend checking out Open to Being. Supporting local businesses like hers is what community is all about.

As a small business owner myself, I love meeting fellow creatives who pour their hearts into their craft. Today was a beautiful reminder that behind every business is a story, a dream, and a wonderful human being.

🌿 Happy Monday, friends. 🌿
A quick update from Blossom Delight:
We will be closed today, and our schedule may be a little different this week as we focus on moving into our new home in Alexandria and getting everything ready behind the scenes.
I know it’s been a lot of updates lately, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Moving a small business is no small task, but this next chapter is going to allow us to serve you even better.
Please bear with us this week as we unpack, organize, and put the finishing touches on our new space. We’ll be back on track very soon, creating beautiful arrangements, teaching our floral ateliers, and serving our wonderful community.

A year ago, if you had told me where I would be today, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.

In the last year, I’ve lost things. I’ve lost opportunities I thought were meant for me. I’ve lost plans that didn’t work out. I’ve lost people who were only meant to be part of a chapter, not the entire story. I’ve experienced disappointments, setbacks, and moments where I questioned myself.

But I’ve also gained so much.

I’ve gained confidence. I’ve gained new friendships, new clients, new collaborations, and new memories. I’ve gained lessons that no book could have taught me. I’ve grown as a florist, as an entrepreneur, as a teacher, and most importantly, as a person.

A year ago, Blossom Delight was a dream I was still trying to figure out. Today, we’re preparing for a new chapter, a new location, new opportunities, and new ways to serve the DMV community.

Looking back, I’m grateful for everything that didn’t work out because it made room for what was meant for me.

If you’re reading this and going through a difficult season, keep going. Sometimes the things we lose make space for the things we’ve been praying for.

Here’s to growth, resilience, beautiful flowers, and believing that the best is yet to come. 🌸
