Our mission is to provide a place for our community to come together to share a love of reading & books through author talks, books clubs and just talking. One More Page offers a wide selection of fiction and nonfiction books, in genres including memoirs, politics, middle grade, young a

dult, mystery, graphic novels, LGBTQ+, children's, romance, science fiction, fantasy, early reader, cookbooks, humor, poetry, travel, history, sociology, self-help and classics. Books, including pre-orders and signed copies, can be ordered online for delivery through our website. One More Page Books opened in 2011, and has been a leading member of the thriving small business community in Arlington and Falls Church, VA. Banned Book Author shared his life story and his work to a captivated audience as part of Arlington VA Public Library's Celebrate the Freedom to Read program. What a powerful (and funny) discussion; heart-felt, honest and which brought some of us to tears. Thank you, Mike! On her NC vacation, Eileen visited visited family, incredible bookstores, Folk Art Center, rooftop bars and, of course, chocolate shops! Her TBR and sticker stacks are both much higher while the chocolate, well, that's much lower. 😆 It was so much fun going to Wandering Crow Bookshop (Statesville), Fred & June's Books (Mooresville), Sassafras on Sutton (Black Mountain), Malaprop's Bookstore/Cafe (Asheville) and Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar (Asheville). And the chocolate from The Chocolate Fe**sh - Asheville, NC was so good (I think the OMP staff would agree)! 😆 Thanks for letting me share part of my journey.

It's ! Cheers to being the most authentic version of ourselves. Let's continue to fight for the safety of our q***r community so that everyone has a chance to live loudly and proudly.

Proceeds from our "Q***r Books Save Lives" sticker go towards Rainbows & Reflections, an organization that is working to get LGTQIA+ books into the hands of the youth that need it most. They are available at the register.

Every page reminds me that stories, even the hardest ones, deserve to be told and remembered. That’s the power of Morrison’s writing and this novel."

BELOVED is often at the top of the list for books with the most bans/challenges since its publication in 1987. Controversy on the book's sexual and violent content in Fairfax County led to legislation (House Bill S16) that calls for the Virginia Department of Education to notify parents of curriculum content and then allows them to review the materials.

- Bring unopened period products to donate (due to space limitations, we can only accept donations on Sat the 11th)

- Plastic-applicator tampons (thin)
- size 3 or 4 pads with wings
- packages of ladies cotton bikini or hipster underwear in sizes 5 through 10

Carmen has the next title for : PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER by Stephen Chobsky

"Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of the most memorable books from my teenage years. Even though it was set in the decade before I was a teen it resonated with me so deeply that I remember reading it over and over late at night. While I don’t know what happened to my pre-movie copy, I’m glad to have this one in my home library to treasure!"

Perks of Being a Wallflower is often at the top of the list for most banned books due to its depiction of sexual abuse, LGBTQIA+ content, drug use, profanity and being sexually explicit.
