Six Flags Mall Community Plaza Central/Six Flags Mall Information and Community Page. Not for promoting business. Page Owner/Main Manager: [email protected]

This is the official Facebook community page for the Six Flags Mall/Plaza Central in Arlington, Texas. We always try to have the latest news and information for this historic place of interest. IMPORTANT: This mall is now currently open to the public. It has been restored and shops are now making their way in. Our history: This page was originally created to spread awareness about a public buildin

g known as Arlington's first mall. It was close to being gone for good due to its history of losses. This awareness period consisted most of 2011-2013. November 2012 is where it went uphill and the mall was bought and was being restored for its true purpose. On August 30th, 2014, the mall finally opened once again for business, the name being replaced to "Plaza Central", instead of the original "Six Flags Mall" name. The mall continued to run somewhat successfully through the new year of 2015, but as 2016 came along the mall had shut down and is now being torn down as we speak. The only current surviving tenant is the Cinemark Tinseltown 9. Please share any memories or pictures you have for us, and thank you all for the support! We will not only continue to spread the awareness of this historical place among the world, but change history along with it. ~Ray Myers (Page Owner)

Great memories and great shopping back in the day at Six Flags Mall in Arlington in the 70’s and 80’s but it was a steady decline and it was beyond being saved or renovated. Demolition has brought down many familiar sites of what used to be a popular mall just off 360 in Arlington. Does anybody…

We finally got some better photos of the current demolition process. They are still working on the Dillard's but are almost done with a major part of it. No other part of the mall has started demolition. Will check back up on the demo site in a few days.

Here are some pictures taken from our live broadcast from earlier of the current demo process. We had a technical difficulty with our live feed and it wont show up. We will try to get better pictures and video tomorrow, and possibly post a livestream of the progress. But for now, here are a few pictures.

Looks like there gonna be demolishing the mall soon. They're getting it all prepped 😰😰😰

Ok, so we all know that the mall is closed right now. The stores that are currently open are the Dillard's Outlet, and the Cinemark Tinseltown 9. We have heard rumors but one seems to be the most told.

It is the rumor that GM has bought the building, which we have been told they have, but we are not 100% sure on that. If they did buy it, now what are they going to do with it? Most likely they will tear the mall down and use the space to build more factory buildings to build more car product.

Another rumor we have heard is that Cabela's, an Outdoor and Sporting Goods Company/Store, wants to possibly buy the property and turn it into another one of their stores. We don't know if this rumor is 100% true either.

Everything is up to speculation right now, but hopefully we find out soon what happens to this beloved mall. If anyone has any information about any of this please feel free to share it or post to the page to let everyone know. And also, what do you all think about this change? We would like to know everyone's opinion on the subject.

But anyways, we thank you all for the continued support that everyone has given us on this page, and we hope to hear from y'all soon!
