Arivaca Recycling Center Arivaca Recycling Center -
CLOSED Arivaca Recycling Center -

Our main goal is to recycle and re-purpose as much 'waste' from our community as possible.

Our secondary (long-term) goal is to have a hardware/used tool store for the local community to have better access to building materials.

It is so very sad that La Siesta is having the same/similar problems we are with zoning because someone complained. It is a wonderful place that brings jobs and revenue to our community.

And a huge thank you to Southern Arizona-Connection and all the members of our community that are offering so much support and effort to help us.

Arivaca Recycling Center is CLOSED until further notice. No one is allowed on the property without permission from the owner. NO TRESPASSING. VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED.
Sorry for the inconvenience. We hope to get up and running again if we can get things straightened out with the county. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement!!!

Why are we doing this to our planet? Plastic waste is still useful! It can be recycled and reused. It can be repurposed into building and infrastructure materials. We can make a difference!
That is one of the goals we have (had?) at Arivaca Recycling. If you want to help show the world that even a small community can make a difference please share our GoFundMe and help us get compliant with the county and maybe even some machinery to help process our recyclable materials!

Why does a small town like Arivaca need a recycling center? Because without it, people are throwing whole cars into the dumpsters that end up in land fills!!!

Fresh news: "you know who" has filed enough complaints about us trying to do something good for the community that the county wants to shut me down unless I can get rezoned as industrial. It's $1,100 just to file the application. It will take tens of thousands of dollars for Arivaca Recycling to remain a viable business.

If anyone wants to donate huge amounts of money to keep us open please contact me directly.

If anyone wants to help clean up what's there as I work towards shutting down I can pay a percentage of the value of the materials that get taken in.

Thanks for everyone who supported me in this venture. I'm truly sorry a couple bad eggs have so much potential to ruin this opportunity for our community.

This is great!
It would be so wonderful to get to the point of affording machinery to turn waste products in to building materials.

This is one of the things we would like to see happen at Arivaca Recycling! Although, this is on a much larger scale.

Some of our states have been doing this for more than a decade. I love the gentleman's comment, "we're borrowing the bottle. It's resources."

I'd like to thank our wonderful community for your continued support and encouragement. You're all so wonderful and it means the world to me to have your support!

If anyone ever wants to know what we're doing at Arivaca Recycling Center and what our plans are for the future I would love to sit down in person, or on the internet, and chat with you about it.

Facebook keeps trying to get us to buy advertising. They say they can help us reach out to 82,000 people within 25 miles of our business. But I don't think there ARE 82,000 people within 25 miles of us. Maybe Nogales?
What do you all think of that?
Also, we're not selling anything (yet). So I'm thinking that advertising at this time probably won't change much.

Put in a bunch of work today cleaning the drop-off area. I'd like to ask everyone to be Conscientious about Emptying, Rinsing, and Sorting their recyclables. A minute or two of your consideration will save us a lot of man hours in the future. Thanks!
And a huge Thank You to Julie Rucker for all the excellent help getting this done today. You're very appreciated!

Anyone willing to volunteer at the recycling center today? Sorting, and hopefully figuring out a processing machine, I'll be there all day.
