What a great May it was! Very busy but that’s the way I like it.
Speckled trout action has been pretty darn good. Redfish have been stubborn but catching a few some days. They should start getting better any day, hopefully.

Yesterday was a redfish grind but caught a handful including Cindy’s huge bull. When we switched gears to trout, it ended specktacular!

Day one with the Witt family. (Saturday 4/4) Ryan, Bertha, Jorgia and Chris
We started the morning off with hot and heavy action on our first stop. Lots of undersized reds mixed in with slot fish kept us busy for a couple hours. As the morning progressed, our bite slowly died as we covered lots of water only catching a fish every so often. We ended the day with 8 keepers and one oversized red that Bertha had a blast getting into the boat.
Day two was the total opposite.
Only Ryan and Bertha joined me today.
With post frontal conditions and a northeast wind we started off with little to no action. The bites we did get early were not hard and it was tough to get a hook in them. As the morning went on, things got much better. I located some upper slot redfish that were much more willing to commit to the bait. Today it was Ryan’s turn to put a beautiful oversized red in the boat. We finished with their limit, an oversized tagged red, and a nice speckled trout.
It’s always blast having this awesome family to spend the day with on the water. Thank you Ryan and Bertha for coming out with me once again!

What a great spring it has been! Family time between charters and spending time with new clients/friends has kept me very busy but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Fishing hasn’t been easy every day by any means, but as summer weather patterns approach, it should get much more consistent. Looks to be a great season ahead.

Another great day! I had the pleasure taking Brian and his brother in law from Nebraska! They were lucky enough to reel in their limit of redfish and one oversized red at 29 inches! Thanks again fellas!

Today was not one of those days, for me at least, that was all about numbers or over flowing the cooler with fish. It was about family.
I had family with me today that I hadn’t seen in a good while. We had lots of good laughs, told stories, and had a great visit that was definitely long overdue. The perfect day.
If we would have brought in all 12 reds, would we have taken a picture and posted, probably so. But we didn’t and that is absolutely ok. We lost a couple and missed a few, but that is fishing some days. We ended our day with 6 good reds, which I am thankful for.
My goal every trip is to work my tail off and provide a fun day on the water, and that is what I do. If any guide tells you that you are going to limit out every time you go, he or she is full of it. That just doesn’t happen. No one is that lucky.
I guess what I’m getting at is that far too many people in today’s society have lost sight of what a great day on the water should be. It should be about making new friends, spending time with the friends you have and your loved ones. Yes, catching fish is definitely a priority, but it’s not my main goal. A fun and safe day is.

Hi Folks, I hope all is great with everyone.
In 2025, I did a horrible job posting and keeping y’all updated on what’s going on with my guide service. I promise to be much more present in 2026.
The year has kicked off with some super fun action for some awesome new guests.
Mr. Gray came solo on Friday and had a great day catching his limits of redfish and black drum.
Saturday, Mr. Hunt and family had a cooler full of 20 black drum filling their limit.
Fishing has been great most days. It’s looking to be a great year. Give me a shout to reserve your preferred day now. Spring break is right around the corner. Let’s those kids out of the house and enjoy a day on our beautiful bay.

Cooper and John had a pretty darn good day catching redfish seeing how it was my first charter of the season. A Limit plus John tagged an oversized and released another.
Fishing should only get better as we continue into the spring months. Spring break is next month so don’t miss your opportunity to schedule a fishing adventure!
