I went into painting, planning to work on Crush but only made it to his eyes… before I got completely lost working on **Sq**rt AGAIN!** 😂🐢

Apparently Sq**rt had other plans for me! 🤷‍♀️

But hey… **progress is progress!** 🎨✨ I’m loving watching these little guys come together, even if my plans don't always go according to plan.

Crush… I promise I'm coming for those eyes next! 👀😂

🐢🎨 **Sq**rt’s shell is coming to life!** 🌊✨

I worked on Sq**rt’s shell this morning, and BOY was it a little frustrating trying to get that perfect color match! 😅

I questioned the process, re-evaluated it, stepped back, looked again… probably more times than I can count. 😂 But in the end, I got it to a point where **I like it—and honestly, that’s what matters.** ❤️

I always say **“trust the process,”** but that doesn’t mean I never hesitate! Sometimes you have to stop, rethink it, make adjustments, and trust yourself enough to know when it finally feels right.

Sq**rt isn’t finished just yet! 🐢 His shell needs to dry before I can add those **bright colors that will really make him POP!** 🌈✨

While I wait, I'm moving on to **Crush!** 🐢🌊

🌊🐢 **Crush & Sq**rt are officially getting some color!** 🎨💚

Last night I finally started laying down the paint, and watching these two come to life was such a good reminder:

✨ **Never sell yourself short.**
✨ **Shoot for the stars when you dream big.**
✨ **Most importantly, never stop believing in yourself.**

Big dreams don't happen overnight. They take patience, hard work, and a whole lot of trust in yourself. After all… **Rome wasn't built in a day!** 🏛️💪

So keep showing up, keep creating, and keep believing that you're capable of more than you think.

One brushstroke at a time. 🎨🌊🐢

Here are some side-by-side shots of Dory from different stages of the painting.

From the first sketch ➡️ to the outlines ➡️ to the colors ➡️ to the final details...

Every stage looked completely different, but each one played a part in getting her where she is now. 🥹🎨

And honestly? **That final painting is STUNNING to me.** 💙🐟 I'm so proud of how she came together!

It's easy to look at the finished piece and forget how many layers, changes, mistakes, and little details went into getting there.

✨ Trust the process.
✨ Appreciate every stage.
✨ Keep going.

💙🐟 **DORY IS FINISHED!!!** 🎉🎨

After putting in **1 hour and 24 minutes** tonight, I can officially say she's done!

I think Dory just became my **second favorite character** I've painted so far. I absolutely love how she turned out, and seeing this *Finding Nemo*-inspired mural come together has been so rewarding.

Every character teaches me something new, and Dory definitely reminded me why I love creating. 💙

Now I have to know...

💙🐠 **Tonight's progress was a short one... just 30 minutes with Dory.** 🎨

Today took every ounce of energy I had, but I still wanted to spend a little time doing something that fills my cup.

Some days, progress looks like hours of painting. Other days, it's just 30 minutes—and that's okay. Every brushstroke gets me one step closer to the finished mural.

I'm loving how Dory is coming to life, and I can't wait to keep going tomorrow. 💙✨

😂🎨 **Can we talk about the facial expressions artists make while painting?**

The intense stare.
The tongue sticking out. 👅
Biting my lips together. 😬
Holding my breath because I'm *this close* to another color and trying to make the line absolutely flawless.

I'm convinced I burn extra calories just from concentrating. 😂

If anyone ever filmed my face instead of the canvas, that would probably be the real entertainment!

But honestly... every weird expression is worth it when I step back and see this *Finding Nemo* mural coming to life. 💙🐠

🎨💙 **Finally getting to paint Dory!** 🐠✨

This is definitely the fun part! Watching the colors come to life and seeing the mural come together is why I love creating.

The not-so-fun part? 😅 Cleaning up all the paint and brushes afterward!

Even so, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm absolutely loving how this mural is coming together, and I can't wait to show you what's next.
