Horns a Plenty Christmas is a charity organization that brings large groups of horn players together to perform holiday music in public venues and raises money for scholarships going to high school horn students continuing with music in college. Horns a Plenty Christmas was founded in 2001 by Donald Krause, a
private horn teacher in the Neenah, WI as a way to bring local horn
players together from
the Northeast Wisconsin area to play holiday
music in public venues such as malls, nursing homes, and concert
halls. In 2009, Horns a Plenty Christmas went national and currently
hosts events during the month of December throughout the United
States, frequently with upwards of 80 horn players participating. Started in 2009, the Horns a Plenty Christmas Scholarship Fund takes
the proceeds from the national events and awards scholarships to high
school horn players continuing with music in college. Horn players of
all ages and abilities are welcome at any Horns a Plenty Christmas
event and local horn teachers and players are encouraged to start one
in their respective area. Merchandise (more information on the website)
