This Peavey Signature Series is setup and ready to fly! It had some playability issues with fretting out in a few spots. Seated several loose frets and leveled them all out. D’Addario XS 9-46 for the setup. Plays beautifully now.

Ah yes, the oh so ✨glorious✨taping up before a fret level. 😂 A good precaution as to not fill the fretboard up with nickel. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I can also be assured that I will not get any marker on the fretboard and binding as I mark the frets. This 30 year old Peavy is getting a spa day!

I don’t particularly like changing batteries, this Sterling Majesty7 is now all passive. I never used the boost function anyhow. It just stinks that when the battery quits the guitar is down, all for having the option of a boost. Also, while I was at it I wired in a treble bleed across the volume (à la Ibanez) and restrung with a 10-64 StringJoy set as well. Haven’t used them before so we will see how it goes!

We love scribbling your ideas down! Here’s a left handed 27 fret Ibanez inspired idea for a client in Texas! Neck thru with purpleheart back bone, maple and black walnut laminations with padauk wings. Makes me want to build something similar for myself!

You see something new all the time. This is an early/mid 80’s Fender Esprit. It’s a Japanese made hollow body Fender. Very 339 like. However, it’s arguably built better in my opinion. Looks like any angry gremlin took a screwdriver to the top and back of it which is sad, but otherwise, this guitar is in good shape. Has a very natural aged look to it which I like. I believe this has a factory installed Kahler USA trem. We ended up repairing the inserts for what would be the tailpiece on it. They almost fell out on their own once the string tension was off. Also, we reseated the body inserts for the pickup height adjustment. We also replaced the set screws for setting the static bridge distance as well. So, all setup with 9-42’s. The clamping blocks and screws are MIA for the Kahler string lock. Honestly, it holds tune very well without them anyway.

If anyone is interested the client is selling this old girl to fund a new left handed guitar for his son. Just drop a message and I’ll get you in contact with them.

Well, we got her back rockin’ again. Structurally sound once again. We don’t handle any real paint/refinish here currently. All setup with 9-42’s. Stays in tune perfectly. Replaced all the pots, cleaned and soldered the bridge pickup cover into place, installed a pickup cover on the neck pickup to match. Made the transition between the very sad paint on the sides of the fretboard smooth. The paint transition around where the break was located feels nice.
