Did you know that some tractors only have two wheels? These single axle tractors are walked by the operator over fields but can also be attached to a trailer. The great thing about farm tractors is that they're like the Swiss knives of working vehicles. This is because aside from pulling things, they can also be fitted with different attachments that enable them to do everything from plowing fields and spreading fertilizer to harvesting grain.

Far from being just farm implements, did you know that tractors are used for racing as well? In Iceland for instance, they hold the World Cup of Tractor Racing event which features souped-up tractors going head to head.

Did you know that the internal combustion tractor is more than 120 years old? John Froelich invented the first gas powered tractor in 1892 and went on to start the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company. His endeavor however, was a massive flop and he went out of business in 1895.

While not exactly cheap, no family-run or commercial farm can afford to be without at least one tractor. This is because relying on manual labor alone will hamper productivity and will thus greatly reduce the profits that could have been realized.
