The process of art starts with a vision in my head, a pencil sketch and some photo reference usually. In this case for a new pose needed of Ernie for Kebbler Club crackers, I was the model for reference.

It all starts with a sketch, using paper and pencil, and some written direction from the art director ( Step 1), which is then followed up with a detailed phone conversation. NOTHING replaces actual talk, the human voice and connection. So much can be lost or mistranslated in an email and text messages.

This is a series of images I will be sharing for a new project for Sunkist. In the past I have done the art that is featured on crates in Sams Club and Costco, which are based on the Chinese year. This year is the year of the Rat. This animal poses all sorts of challenges, and you will see the development of my pencils to the final product over the next month.

Fun project that was created early 2018, but just now able to show. Work coming in the studio has drastically dropped over the past year, and I’m working on expanding my clients and new projects. NEW packaging design and illustrations for Albertsons Signature Select brand cereals. This was done for Sterling Becker in San Francisco last year, but it takes a while to hit the retail shelves so I'm able to release these to show. It's that time of year, and I'm able to release the art to show for the new flavor Kellogg's has created for this Fall season. This packaging actually went through several final poses and concepts for the look of the front panel, and this is the one that was decided on moving forward. Notice too, that this is a new face view of Tony that hasn't been used before. I personally like it, but hey, I'm biased as well.

GRRRRRREAT! My Favorite tiger featured on a new Frosted Flakes Marshmallow cereal! With art direction from the very talented Kristi Breisach at Anthem Worldwide in Michigan, I created the entire new packaging and illustration for this breakfast treat!
