2 weeks ago we traveled back in time to 50 years ago and my parents first home in northern Maine…A cabin they built just the two of them and the first Old Yankee workshop. Finally seeing them in the place they have talked about my whole life was bittersweet and definitely the highlight of our 10 day trip back north.

The cabin was in great shape, not surprising at all that Mom and Dad would build something to last. They even named the road after them many years later! Our family legacy is as unique and strong as every cutting board we build today. Proud to carry on the tradition that was started so many years ago and built to stand the test of time. Not gonna lie though…wish we had the original Old Yankee sign from the shop 🤩

Our buddy John, a BBQ expert has nailed the care routine. He routinely oils his boards and plans on passing them down to the next BBQ generation.

John has a few different sizes to prep and serve his amazing BBQ. Some are almost 15 years old and still look brand new!

The student becomes the teacher…these beauties came to help me at the shop this week. They left covered in sweat, sawdust and glue and LOVED every minute of it ✌️

So lucky to have amazing friends that show up and show off! They kicked ass and made some beautiful boards. Maybe this is the start of a summer apprentice program 🤣

Thankful for some help today at the shop while Dad recovers from surgery. The kids have really stepped up this summer and are learning so much!
