Dan (Mr. Kangail) will be hosting D&D at the library on Thursdays! He is doing this as a volunteer and service for our community. In fact earlier this year he also formed and hosted the D&D club at the High School. Thanks Dan! 🙏🏻🎲

This summer the APL is hosting the Antigo High School Table Top Gaming Club in the McGinley room every Thursday from 3:30PM - 5PM beginning June 4th with Mr. Kangail.

Congratulations — Mr. Kangail has evolved into our New Professor of Shelf Studies!

New abilities unlocked: Barcode Scan, Inventory Sort, Manga Recommendation, and Classic Literature Rizz.

Expect to see more of him around the store this summer as he helps run the front desk, organizes inventory, assists with barcode scanning and pricing, and tackles the sacred mysteries of bookstore spreadsheets after teaching summer school for the day!

Later this fall, as he returns to full-time English teacher mode, we’re hoping to welcome a few of his most bookish students into roles at the store as well. 📖👀❤️

🇺🇸 Freedom of conscience — and passing that gift from one generation to the next — is the greatest cornerstone of our country.

Through books, stories, knowledge, and lived experience, we inherit an incredible freedom: the freedom to think, seek, learn, question, believe, grow, and become.

That freedom was carried forward by generations of people who worked, sacrificed, built, fought, created, and in many cases died so that consciousness, culture, abundance, and technology could reach the world we live in now.

It’s a blessing to be part of the progression. 🥹📚

🏞️+📖+🚲 Charlie's Bike Shop has been keeping my 20-year-old F-29 Cannondale pristine since we moved here. This beloved mountain bike helped me dodge moose back and forth daily to college when I attended Alaska Pacific University. 🫎 It then traveled with me state to state all the way back to Wisconsin. Having it maintained is a must, and having a great local shop providing that service is a huge boon to the community.

Charlie is a family man who owns and operates the best local place to get both mountain and street bikes tuned up. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and capable with everything from tubeless tire setups to electric and motorized bike kits, along with all kinds of repairs and upgrades people have needed over the years.

A strong local bike repair shop is essential for any outdoor community, and one of my favorite pastimes is still bringing a good book out into nature on my days off. 📚🌲 I almost always have a book with me as I ride.

This weekend we spent a day at Jack Lake foraging, reading, and enjoying the trails.
Thank you Jack Lake Silent Sports Association for maintaining our beautiful riding trails!

Wisconsin summers are hard to beat. ☀️🥰
