Plant people… 😍

This Pink Princess stopped me in my tracks the other day. Look at that PINK. 💗🌿

She likes bright, indirect light and letting the soil dry out a bit between waterings. And the best part—every new leaf is a surprise.

We have some REALLY pretty plants in the shop right now, with a few new varieties mixed in. 👀

I’ll share more soon, but for now… she deserved her moment. 🪴

One year ago, I walked into Jmac as the new owner with a whole lot of ideas about what this first year would look like.

I can confidently say… it looked almost nothing like I imagined.

I certainly didn’t picture celebrating our first anniversary from outside the shop, with new faces behind the counter keeping things going while I’m away.

This year has held so much. We’ve celebrated birthdays, babies, weddings, anniversaries and everyday moments. We’ve also walked alongside families through an incredible amount of heartbreak and loss. We’ve made flowers for some of the happiest days and some of the hardest.

And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I’ve gotten to experience firsthand just how much this community cares.

You’ve ordered the flowers. Bought the gifts. Shared our posts. Sent your friends through our doors. Trusted us with the important moments. And lately, you’ve supported the people keeping Jmac going when I couldn’t be there myself.

This little flower shop on Main Street is still here because you continue to choose it. And I don’t take that lightly.

Year one wasn’t exactly what I planned.

But it was full of growth, change, really beautiful things, some really hard things, and a whole lot of people who showed up along the way.

So cheers to ONE YEAR of Jmac — and to year two kicking off. 🥂

I have absolutely no idea what it will bring… but if year one taught me anything, it’s that we’ll figure it out together. 💛

A couple of new favorites have finally arrived… and we’ve been waiting FOREVER!

🦆 Squishy Ducks – I don’t even know how to explain how satisfying these are. I may or may not have ordered them the same day the vendor announced them. 😂 They’re soft, squishy, and impossible not to pick up.

🌈 Hacky Sacks are BACK! If you grew up in the late ’80s, ’90s, or early 2000s, chances are you spent recess, youth group, or summer evenings trying to keep one in the air. Now it’s your turn to introduce your kids, nieces, nephews, or grandkids to the fun (or see if you’ve still got the skills! 😉).

I got to sneak away for a little outing today… and by outing, I mean getting my hair washed by the one and only Brooklyn. 💛 There really is no better feeling after surgery.

Since I was already out, I couldn’t resist stopping by the shop for a few things.

Walking in made my heart so happy. The girls have been doing such an incredible job. The shop is spotless, everything feels so welcoming, and little by little new inventory is finding its home.

And can we talk about the cooler? 😍 It’s full of some of my favorite flowers and colors right now. Soft peach gerberas, the dreamiest butterfly ranunculus, vibrant freesia, garden-style roses, and so many rich, happy colors that make me excited for the seasons ahead.

I even caught Briar “helping” in the cooler… which is exactly where I’d expect to find him. ❤️

Some arrangements stay with you long before you’ve actually started designing and long after they’re finished.

This custom memorial piece was created with love for a grieving mama from a community of moms grieving right alongside her.

Every flower, every branch, every thoughtful detail was chosen to honor a life deeply loved and to remind a mother that she doesn’t have to carry this heartbreak alone.

Flowers can’t take away the pain, but they can speak when words fall short. They can say, “We’re here. We remember. We love you.”
