Check out the new mugs available at The Market and Mill.

The garden was a little too muddy to work in first thing this morning after the rain, so I took it as a sign to slow down for a few minutes.

Coffee outside, a beautiful view, and a chorus of frogs and toads that were clearly just as happy about the rain as I was.

How much rain did everyone get? We'd love to hear your totals!

One of our favorite parts of The Market & Mill—besides our wonderful regulars—is meeting the people who find their way to our little corner of Nebraska.

This weekend we welcomed a family from Idaho, and we quickly discovered that when your last name is Anselme, an annual trip to Anselmo seems only fitting!

Owen, the 7 year old, and I became fast friends, and I think I collected at least five hugs during their visit.😊

Thanks for stopping by and sharing part of your journey with us. We can't wait to see you again next time you're in Anselmo!

We had such an amazing time at our Summer Kickoff Saturday evening!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support the McMullen family. Your presence, generosity, and kindness meant so much—not just to them, but to all of us. It was one of those nights that truly reminds you how special this community is.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who made it happen:
– The Finneys for donating and preparing the hamburgers
– Dusty and Louie for manning the grill
– Those who let us borrow picnic tables
– Everyone who jumped in to serve food
– And all who helped with setup and cleanup

We also want to give a special thank you to Hoke for sharing his music with us—such a perfect touch for the evening.

The storms somehow missed us, and even the brief rain didn’t slow us down one bit.

It really does take a village—and we truly have the best one. Thank you all for showing up the way you always do. 💛
