Our products are not for everyone. More specifically, they are for people that want something truly different and unique in their stompbox arsenal, and are comfortable paying a little premium for a U.S manufactured product that is unlike anything else out there. Crazy people that desire that certain analog aesthetic in their tone while still demanding the ability to tweak everything, recall those

settings at will, and explore new areas of parameter controllability, modulation, and on-the-fly automation.

One of the biggest challenges on Big Time was figuring out how sequencing should work. Right from the very start, we knew this pedal had to give you some of that Thermae sound, the “time shifting” effect you get that turns a delay into a melody. But we also didn’t want to get stuck recreating Thermae, we wanted Big Time to be its own thing.

We think we hit a nice spot with it:
It does some Thermae things, it does some new things, it’s an old friend and a new friend at the same time. The most unique new addition is an envelope-controlled mode that progresses the sequence whenever you play. It’s like STEP mode from Thermae, but controlled with your playing. (STEP mode is also here too, though.)

We’re working hard on this thing and getting a little closer everyday. Thanks for the patience.

Whenever I listen to this record I think of my old friend Andy Richardson, who I worked with at . We saw touring on this record at together. It was just one of those really special shows you are lucky to experience every once in a while. It makes me so happy and sad to listen to these songs and think about all the times with Andy. I miss you a whole bunch, buddy, I often wonder what you’d think of all the madness in the world both in the micro and macro.

If any of y’all have a cool memory of Andy I’d love for people to read them in the comments.

We’ve been starting to get some questions about Big Time’s power requirements… which are pretty whopping. It needs 1A, which is about double our next-most hungry pedal and more than a lot of power supplies can provide. For this reason we’re including two different power solutions in the box with Big Time:

-A standalone power supply

-A current doubling adapter cable (for use with your existing pedalboard power supply)

However you prefer to power your pedal, it’s covered.
Both ship free with Big Time.

I got to hang out with my friend David Torn today on his birthday. He’s doing a video for our workshop series tomorrow for Big Time. I can’t wait.

David is also playing on Friday @ 730pm at The Pattern Room w/ JT Bates. Address below:

The Pattern Room
2714 E 27th Street
Minneapolis, MN 55406

One of my fav memories with David’s music was this song “Spoke With Folks.” It was one of a handful of songs I had on my phone when I was camping in the Boundary Waters with some of my best friends. We just stared at the stars and kept listening to it over and over again. Anytime I listen to it, it just brings me right back.

I also remember (long before I met David) I watched "Lars and the Real Girl" I think maybe 8 or so months after my brother died. Sometimes Ryan Gosling’s mannerisms would remind me a little of Chase. I remember thinking the music for that film was so special. Something like a dozen
years later I was hanging out with David in his studio and saw the movie poster and was like “Wait you did the music for that movie?!?!”

David’s musical contributions are immense. He is one of one. So lucky to be his friend.
