Self Propelled Motorized Mower
Advantage #1. The steering capability allows the operator to gracefully glide through the natural shape of lawns, around corners and garden beds, etc.
Advantage #2. 180 degree U-Turns can be accomplished without taking either hand off of the steering mechanism. In- creases control and safety.
Advantage #3. A hand throttle mechanism can be used to con- trol speed like a motorcycle. This can be accomplished because both hands can remain on the handlebar at all time.
Advantage #4. The engine kill mechanism becomes functional with a single hand on the left throttle.
Right throttle controls speed.
Using this in my lawn for the last year I can tell you that this makes mowing much more fun. It facilitates a “motorcycle-like” feeling during operation.
From a marketing and branding perspective, there are many advantages to be gained with a Harley Davidson-like approach to our branding and product design.
When you lift your hand from the left throttle the engine stops.
