It’s one thing to read about war.

It’s another to hear it from someone who lived it—who survived it—who endured being a prisoner of war and still found a way forward.

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to grow up around veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam. I’ve had the honor of working with veterans like this through my business. They’ve helped me pack orders, shared stories, and even shaped my OK Boomer line with their perspective and humor (which also explain some of the potty language on those cards!)

But moments like this remind me: behind every laugh, every story, is a depth of sacrifice most of us will never fully grasp.

I don’t take that lightly.

To the veterans I’ve worked with—and to all who have served—my respect and gratitude run deeper than words can carry.

It is truly an honor.

I was going through some photos and came across a couple of photos of my little pup who recently passed away (not really a pup, he was 17 years old, but if you have a pet, you know how it is).

It's one of my favorite photos of him. He was always by my side especially when I was decorating the house for the holidays. I caught this photo when he was snuggled up in my wreath.

I loved it so much I thought it would make a pretty art piece. So I turned it into one. The picture made me so happy so I thought, he needs to go on a card and maybe make others smile! So I did that. And then I thought of how peaceful and serene he looked, like pictures of wildlife tucked away in snow. And I decided to make a card series of animals resting on a long winter's night.

I just premiered my pup's card three days ago, and it's already become a best seller! And soon after, the other animals started to find homes. :-) I love it. I call this series, "Silent Night."

A Iot of my cards are focused on Gen-X culture. Maybe I’m biased because I’m Gen X but I really do think it was probably the best generation. I mean…. We had John Candy.
