Unsure/wondering about training to get certified? You don't have to be on the swim team (but you can be!) or have the perfect butterfly stroke, you must be able to:
💦Swim 150 yards front crawl, breast stroke or combination of both; tread water for two minutes using legs only; swim 50 more yards
💦Swim 20 yards to retrieve a ten pound object at 7-10 feet and return to the starting point
