It's July 31st and we know you are waiting for an update. We have taken our time and appreciate your patience.
We have been incredibly fortunate in this economy to have a business that has grown year after year. This is especially true for a small, start up company without a big franchise name attached. From the beginning, this has been because of YOU, our loyal customers. By continuing to return and purchase from us time after time, telling your friends about us, and overall trusting us to be a part of your health and wellness journey, you have made our shop what it is and this is more than we ever could have imagined. Knowing that some of you have driven hours with a carload of friends to share our shop is a small business owners dream. Many of you have become friends and having regular customers stop in just to say hi is something we always treasure. Looking back, we have spent 1000s of hours a year sitting with so many of you, listening to your struggles, answering questions, and sharing our knowledge about the benefits of h**p with you and your family. Our goal has always been education and trust first and foremost, and the time we have spent with all of you over the last 3 years is priceless.
Unfortunately, in the State of Iowa success isn't enough and with the new laws and regulations recently passed, it is no longer feasible to remain open at this time. We have taken this month to look at the situation from all angles, explore legal options, and to reflect on our journey to this point. Quite simply, the numbers no longer work out in our favor or yours. This isn't the outcome that we wanted, but the current political climate in this state doesn't allow us to continue to serve you in a legal way. Instead of expanding as we had planned, we have no choice but to take a step back.
We hope that you will continue to share the love of h**p with others and use your voice to advocate for better access and options for Iowa. This law change was the direct result of our state government and until we demand better from those representing us, we won't see positive change on this issue in Iowa. In the future, if things change and it becomes feasible again, we will seriously consider reopening. Hopefully, this isn't goodbye, it's just a see you later.
