As this year comes to a close, we want to wish you a season filled with warmth, rest, magic, and stories that feel like home. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Yule, both, or simply the turning of the year—we’re holding space for you.
We’ll be honest: there have been some voices in Angier that have been rude, dismissive, and unkind. That has weighed on us more than we ever expected. But those voices do not define this community.
What defines this place are you: the kind, thoughtful, book-loving souls who showed up, supported us, laughed with us, cried with us, and believed in what Wildflower Cottage stood for.
While we may not have a storefront right now, we are still a business. We are still here. Still dreaming. Still planning. Still wildly in love with books, community, and the magic of gathering. This is not goodbye—it’s a pause, a breath, a fresh & new story.

Well, Wildflowers, it's been a wild ride! But we are here to offer you a chance to take home a piece of the cottage! Here are the LARGE items we are selling. We may be selling some artwork down the road but we want the big furniture to go first.

An extendable table fit for D&D or Board Game Nights!
Reliable and sturdy!
Dimensions are about 8 FT long without the leaf and about 10-12 with the leaf.
Must Pick up and take apart inside and bring help to move it!

Antique 1930's Couch (Patrice is her name) SOLD!
She is sturdy and has very minimal wear and tear! Original fabric and hand carved wood accents!
Does not have pillows but doesn't need them! The couch is comfy and cozy!
Must Pick up at store and bring help to move it!

Light Oak Colored Farmhouse dining Table (asking $50) 58.5 inches x 35 inches
Sturdy and heavy! Can seat 6 but has no chairs.
Must bring tools to disassemble and also help to move out of the store

Dark Mahogany Antique-ish Dining Table (asking $50)
65 inch oval
Sturdy and classic! Can seat 6 but has no chairs

Floral Chaise Lounge (asking $35)
No rips or tears! She's literally perfect but can't fit her anywhere in my house... Please love her she's the one that hurts me the most to get rid of...

Detached Cabinets turned Shelves (asking $10 together)
We used these for holding crafting supplies. It's honestly super cute and lovely but I'd have no use for it. The top needs to be finished with plywood or something if you want to complete the project.

This one hurts to write — so we’re not going to pretend it doesn’t.
Wildflower Cottage Bookstore is closed for business indefinitely.
Not because the love wasn’t there.
Not because the stories became unrealistic and unreliable.
Not because community failed.

But because sometimes the people holding the magic need rest, healing, space, and time to breathe. And choosing that doesn’t mean failure; it means survival.

This shop was built on whimsy filled recommendations, dog-eared pages, cozy corners, chaotic joy, and the belief that books could bring people together in the softest, bravest ways. You proved us right every single day.
We’ll still talk books.
We’ll still believe in cozy spaces and chosen family.
And we’ll always carry Wildflower Cottage with us 💕 because it was never just four walls. It was you.
Thank you for trusting us with your stories, your kids, your grief, your joy, your favorite tropes, and your time.
Until the sequel finds its way back to the shelf…
