One of our latest finished rods: An Alpine series model A736. A 7' 3" 6/7 wt. 4 piece hollowed pentagonal fly rod. It has been Ammonia treated to a beautiful dark brown color and has brown and gold silk wraps, blued ferrules, bronze guides, tapered 6" cork grip, blued nickel silver down-locking reel seat with engraved butt cap and a beautiful Maidow burl wood insert. One of our latest finished rods: An Alpine series model A734. A 7' 3" 4/5 wt. 4 piece pentagonal hollowed fly rod. Natural blond bamboo color, amber and gold silk wraps, blued ferrules, tapered 6" cork grip, nickel silver knurled down-locking reel seat with engraved butt cap and a beautiful Amboyna burl wood insert. Here is one of our latest rods: A Signature Series, 8' 2 piece, 5/6 weight, flamed pentagonal split-bamboo fly rod. It has blued ferrules and green/black wraps, with a varnished English walnut wood insert. Shown with one of our unique "Bamboo" fly reels with silk line.

Blueing ferrules for one of our Alpine 4 piece Bamboo Fly Rods using the old Payne blueing fluid that we mixed up a few years ago using the original Payne formula given to us from Dave LeClaire. RIP Dave!

It's still the best blueing fluid but is poisonous containing Arsenic, Hydrochloric Acid etc. The Arsenic costs about 50 times more than it did before the 9/11 disaster.
