As most of you know by now , we have closed our quilt shop in Andrews, NC. We are very sad to close this chapter of our story. This has been the best three years serving all of our great customers in Cherokee county and beyond. Although we will not be selling fabric anymore we want everyone to know that we are now exclusively doing quilting in our brand new longarm studio. This is what I love and am thrilled that I can now be on my longarm anytime I want and not limited to quitting at 5 pm . I can now put my top of the line longarm Gammill to work any time . This means faster service and shorter turn around times. It’s a win win for everyone. The only part that stinks is that I no longer have a place on Main St where I can watch and interact with the public or chat with friends walking by. We will miss Main st in Andrews and hope it grows back to a thriving community. With the help from the Chamber of Commerce and Specifically Nola Cooper, I see great things in its future. For those of you that think Andrews is too far away ( only 15 min from Murphy) or that there’s nothing there of interest , take another look. It’s beautiful and there are many new places to dine and plenty of things to do. There are so many people that I’d like to thank for all the help and support I received during our time in Andrews. First I need to thank my wonderful cousin Nan Slaughter for inspiring me and her never ending support. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have known how much joy quilting can be. Big thanks to , Jennifer Farr and Ralph Crisp , Phillis Leonard, Electa Ledford, Nola Cooper, Brian Rourke from All American Estate clearing and sales , everyone at Maria’s diner, Dragonass BBQ, Nancy’s Treasures , a special thanks to my brother Tony Conners , my son Sam and my cousin Spencer and his lovely wife for listening to every complaint and sharing in every joy, the list is just a few of the great friends and customers ,it would be pages long if I listed everyone that’s been a part of my journey . I apologize if I didn’t get you in the list but , know that my heart thanks everyone who got me to this point. The one that I can’t leave out is my husband Bob. He eventually gave in and has amazingly learned how to be a longarmer himself. He’s actually quite good ( but don’t tell him , it’ll just go to his head) and is always there if I need him. If you have any questions about future classes, pending orders, how to get your quit tops quilted or anything quilt related please call (828)360-2967 we are just a phone call ,text or email away . Sincerely, Rachel Carr
