A little road trip for the weekend and I finished my first EPP flower. It only takes me forever but first of so many more to go!

It’s funny, I watch these EPP tutorials and they’re like whip whip whip. Me: I’m poke, nope, try again, poke, nope, try again. Don’t ask how long it takes me to stitch a seam!

This one finally has binding attached! This was such a fun quilt to make and I love the colors in it.

Sometimes the quilting really becomes the STAR.

I finished this quilt for a local quilter using the Curly pantograph, and we chose a navy thread instead of blending — and wow… it completely changed the look. The texture pops, the movement shows, and every swirl adds another layer of design to the quilt.
Proof that thread choice can be just as important as fabric.
Would you go bold with contrasting thread or keep it subtle?

Quilting confession… 👀
I don’t blanket stitch my Dresden plates.
I topstitch them instead — it’s faster, cleaner, and honestly fits my quilting style better.
Blanket stitch is beautiful, but I think this is beautiful too and this method works for me and keeps my projects moving.

Just building over here!
I’m pulling out some UFOs for my and this Dresden quilt is the oldest on my list. It’s going to be so pretty in this sanctuary fabric, I don’t why I haven’t finished it yet.
No pattern to this baby. Just paired this Dresden block with some chain blocks and it makes a really nice, large, queen size quilt.
Tell me if you would like to see more of how I make this one! I can share all the details!
