COMPLETION!!!

First pair since chaos struck!!!

I know nothing about anime, but have lots of love for the artwork…

I really struggled to find the creativity after I lost my Mom…was asked by my plant manager a couple weeks ago if I’d done any shoes lately…I told him “I honestly lost the motivation and confidence in my abilities, since she’s been gone.” And he asked “What would your mom say about that?” To which I replied “Paint them damn shoes!”

It took me a little bit, but I really believe that when I started learning myself how to play this piano (which she bought right before she got sick and hadn’t even had the chance to open the box) it opened everything back up for me…

I’d always send a picture to her when I’d finish…

So, Mom, what do you think?

Been a minute! But woke up today, started teaching myself “Amazing Grace” on the piano…had breakfast and was thinking “I wanna draw something” …so grabbed a pair of shoes that a client has been oh so patiently waiting on…

I honestly lost all motivation, and confidence after all that has happened…but, I think the biggest lesson through it all is that life must go on…

Hopefully I can finish these this weekend and get started on the next, then the next, then the next!!! I have a lot to catch up on…WHEW!!!

UPDATE:

Don’t wanna jinx myself, but I’ve had a really good week…I’m noticing lots of improvements and have been able to breathe a little deeper…over all pretty good!

Even got out of the house yesterday and drove around a bit! Not by myself though…took my copilot Megan with me just in case…

My hands have been really shaky though, probably steroids and inhalers, but it won’t last forever…

Still on oxygen but I’m at 1.5 liters (whatever that means)…gonna stick with it until dr says I can do without though…

Just wanted to give you all a heads up! Thank you for your support and kind words!

UPDATE:

Just wanted everyone to know (especially those waiting on shoes) yes I’ve been home from the hospital for 2 weeks now, but honestly that means very little when it comes to my ability to do anything other than sit around watching TV…

To those wondering, I caught covid and it quickly turned to covid pneumonia…it’s been one heck of a ride too…

I can barely walk through my house without completely giving out of breath, and coughing is definitely making it impossible for me to even think about putting paint on shoes…my hand is shaky enough, definitely don’t need a random coughing fit to cause me to ruin a pair of shoes…

I’m getting better, slowly, but my confidence in painting is not where it needs to be in order to give you all the best that I can…

As soon as I feel comfortable I will hit the ground running and will not stop until every single one of you that have been patiently waiting, have your shoes…

Thank you all for your patience and support during the most chaotic 2+ months that I’ve ever lived…and stay safe!!!

I’M FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!

August has been the worst month I’ve ever lived…

Just to update you all, my mom got covid, along with my step dad and step sister…while my mom was in the hospital, my grandfather needed to be taken care of, so my sister was trying to take care of him…he ended up getting sick, and passed away while in the hospital…my sister ended up getting it trying to take care of him and was hospitalized…my mom lost her fight this past Sunday…

If that isn’t heartbreaking enough, my family can’t get together and mourn together because we’re all either sick, or trying to get better…

All 3 of my daughters are sick, now I’m sick…

I haven’t been in the mindset to paint, or do anything other than maintain…

I hope all of you that are waiting on shoes understand, and know that I’ll get back to it soon…

In the meantime, y’all please take care of yourselves and be cautious…
