💙 National Cancer Survivor Day 💙
Today all cancer patients were honored for National Survivor Day. Sunday June 7, 2026 is a special day. I am grateful to celebrate this special day with other survivors and friends. We also honor those who are no longer with us. 😭
March 13, 2025 was the day I was diagnosed with colon cancer. I survived it and here to tell my story. 💙🦋💙 You cannot begin to imagine what I went through. The pain, sickness, suffering, surgery, nausea, mouth sores, brain fog, tingling in my hands and feet, cold sensitivity, and so much more. If you could only imagine.
The chemotherapy treatments. Horrific. The toxic chemicals being injected through my port to kill the cancer cells because they are trying to kill me. You can’t imagine. BUT GOD.
Thank you to the Cancer Survivors Park Alliance for hosting such an amazing event today! Thank you to EVERY caregiver who has supported us through our journey. It’s not easy. You deserve to be celebrated as well. I’m still recovering ❤️🩹 daily. I’m so grateful for my WONDERFUL husband, family, members, and friends who help push and support me. Thank you Shunda Nelson for spending the day with me. Dr those who can, be there. It matters. It’s needed.
