Im still in search of someone willing to work, Must be dependable, well spoken, neat appearance and on top of everything willing to do anything associated with the appliance repair, cleaning, vehicle up keep and delivery / pick up of appliances. I do not have time to put my finger on everything so self drive snd understanding what staying busy is as is equally important. Must be able to pass a back ground check and driving record check. Currently seeking non working washers, dryers, stoves and refrigerators with freezer on top. We prefer appearance to be in descent shape with out a ton of dents and dings. We prefer whirlpool branded washers and dryers to include kenmore, amana, roper, crosley and several others. At the very least u will be offered $$$ for what u bring and unload but descent stuff means the offer goes up. The better the condition the better the price. Come see us, please do not call for this service, we are not able to come pick up unless there is several pieces, and-the price will be adjusted for pick up.

After evaluating and timing of business traffic, tendecies of customers we have decided to change our Friday hours from 8am -12pm to 10am -2pm. Fridays have become our slowest day of the week, we do typically have a few people in but its after 10 and closer to 12. If you need assistance beyond these hours please feel free to call our office and leave a message. We do go by there periodically and check messages outside our normsl business hours.

Three month’s ago we was hit hard when we lost my dad Chuck. Not only was he the friendliest, most helpful , business partner , he was always the one willing to go over and beyond to help anyone. He worked out front all day everyday. He was able to look at all his Coke boxes and collections while he worked as he greeted everyone who came thru the door. Ive always been the super busy one, always on the go , always trying to fit more into the day than possible. My attitude has not always been the best when dealing with the public because i knew i didnt have time to stop and talk, fit one more person into the schedule or really do much more than i was already doing. Im working to better at that. For years the city has stayed on our butts about keeping the front cleaned, this was almost an impossible task with my dad. He wanted to work outside and he wanted to see people come in. After losing him i was faced with difficult decisions with his belongings, property, and Appliance One, again i was navigating something new and was unsure how or what to do with out having him. First thing i did was clean up around the front for numerous reasons but mainly because i didnt wanna remember that day he passed and the background which was in front of the shop. For the last three months we have been trying to find a new normal and the direction in which i wanna take Appliance One. I had to cut calls way back to ensure i was getting shop time to work on repairs and keep our sales floor stocked. We have decided that we can start taking on more service calls now and we looking forward to fitting everyone in a little sooner than the normal 1 -2 week wait. In addition to accepting more calls we have added brantley and luverne to our service area, we have lowered the rate for opp service calls and added a same day option. For anyone not able to wait for service.
We want everyone to know although we dont have appliances all over the front anymore , tractor parked outside and coke boxes out front we are still open for business and prices are better than ever before. Thank you all for your continued support and business.

In light of the passing of Chuck Meeks, we at Appliance One and the Meeks family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the condolences, prayers, and support we’ve received during this difficult time.

We kindly ask for patience and understanding in the weeks and months ahead as we adjust and work to establish a “new normal” at A1. Chuck was not only a father, but also a valued employee, coworker, and truly the right hand behind much of our day-to-day operations. His absence is deeply felt.
