There are guitars… and then there are masterpieces.

The Taylor K24ce Builder’s Edition is one of those instruments where it feels like nothing was left on the table.

Handmade right here in Anchorage by Petr from genuine woolly mammoth tooth sourced here in Alaska.

Over the years, pieces of mammoth tooth and tusk found in Alaska have made their way through our doors, and Petr has turned some of that ancient material into one-of-a-kind guitar picks like these.

And they’re not just cool to look at. Mammoth tooth is incredibly dense, giving these picks a thick, rigid feel and a distinctive attack that’s completely different from your everyday pick.

Every one is unique. Every one has a story. And honestly, it doesn’t get much more Alaskan than this.

The Gold Label made some people do a double take. Then they played one.

The Gold Label 814e still looks unmistakably Taylor—but look a little closer and there’s a lot going on here.

Taylor calls this the Super Auditorium body. Think of it as an evolution of the familiar Grand Auditorium shape: slightly bigger, with more air inside the body and a voice designed to deliver more warmth, depth and low-end power while retaining the clarity Taylor players expect.

Add the non-cutaway body, redesigned headstock, gorgeous appointments and that unmistakable Gold Label aesthetic, and this is a very different take on what an 800-series Taylor can be.
