Oomingmak Musk Ox Producers Co-operative We are the headquarters for a Co-operative of 200 Alaska Native knitters We sell hand knit Qiviut (pronounced KIV-EE-UTE) garments.

Qiviut is the downy soft under wool of the Musk Ox. It is 8 times warmer than wool by weight, has no lanolin or barbs like wool. So it has no oily feel or sent to it when it gets wet and does not itch on most people and it will NOT shrink in any temperature of water.
