Mossy’s Fly Shop will be closed Saturday, June 6, as our crew heads to the Spey Clave.

Instead of seeing us behind the counter, you’ll find us on the water talking tackle, casting two handers, and celebrating all things fish.

Join us June 6 from 10 AM–5 PM at the Russian River Ferry for the 2026 Alaska Spey Clave.

Free to attend. On-water presentations, product demos, instructional help, and Texas BBQ provided by Yupi’Q BBQ.

We are locked and loaded for the 2026 Alaska Spey Clave! Join us on June 6th at the Russian Ferry Parking Lot from 10-5. This is a no charge free to attend event.

Schedule of event:
10-12: 4 30 minute on water Presentations
12-1: Texas BBQ lunch provided from Yupi'Q BBQ
1-5: Open for product demo, instructional help, or anything spey related you want to ask or do.

Over the last 15 years, I have had the pleasure of meeting people from all walks of life and from all over the world. Some of those meetings have turned into great friendships and even family. One who I feel is family is Carl Sumpter. Carl has become not only a friend but someone I look at as a father figure. Carl is someone I could just talk to, about anything, get advice from, laugh with, and even cry with. Carl is a staple in the shop and conversed with all who came in

Yesterday, we lost our friend. My heart goes out to his wife and son and their entire family. Carl was an extraordinary man and will forever be missed. Rest in peace my friend, you will never be forgotten.
