I finished her on earth day so I named her “Eartha” 300 million years ago during the Carboniferous period there was 20% more oxygen in the atmosphere and insect grew to this size ! “Meganeura” Ancient Greek for large! Dragonflies are the Apex predator of the insect world and I hope I represented that in this sculpture! She is up at Anchorage Brewing Company go grab a great beer and some delicious food from “Familia” and check her out in person! Thanks for looking!

I have all these wood scraps in buckets from our JenBee projects, and the other day we were cutting some moose puzzles, while waiting and monitoring the machine, i picked up some scraps and started putting them together. My friend Jennifer who I partner with on these projects said wow this is really fun! And she’s right it is really fun! So I’ve been staying up way too late in the evenings making creatures from the piles of scraps. I like to do the same thing with our metal scraps so why not wood?!? Some wood scrappies going up Anchorage Brewing Company .
