I got a couple old slate shingles at a farm store in Vermont a decade ago when I first launched Coddle & Cosset. I’ve dragged them around since then, using them for market displays and photo shoots. It’s the perfect blend of rustic, reclaimed, and elegant to set off the hand-hewn truffles.

Well…. Coddle & Cosset is hanging up the apron.

For 10 years (!) Coddle & Cosset has morphed and evolved and taken small breaks while I reorient myself to whatever current chapter of my life’s story I’m writing; this is the beauty of small business. And I now find myself at yet another chapter break. With time, effort, reward, and the balance of self and family all in the equation, the current sum indicates the need to put this business on the shelf. Maybe temporarily? Maybe permanently? That part is yet to be written. For now Coddle & Cosset will cease operations in just a couple weeks with the last of our Chocolate Club pick ups.

It is with your support and enthusiasm for my work that I’ve been able to accomplish all that I have, and I thank you so so very much for your part in the journey. I am eternally grateful. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

What’s up with the sheep’s milk yogurt, you ask? Years ago when I was slinging my truffles at a quaint Vermont farmers’ market, my vendor neighbor had sheepy things, including luscious yogurt. It’s extra creamy and decadent. Folded into nice dark chocolate, it sings of tart cherry 🍒.
