n he began his farm in Mora, Minnesota where his wife and three sons helped run the farm. Now, over 30 years later, you'll still find his son David hard at work on the family business. It takes an average of eight years to raise an eight foot tree and up to 20 years to raise some of the taller trees from a seedling, and Bob and his family have had a personal hand in each one. When you buy a tree from Minnesota Bob's you aren't just getting a tree from that guy with the funny accent, you're getting a tree that was cared for, a tree that has history. Walking the outdoor lot with your family and finding that perfect tree is a crucial part of Christmas. Let the team that loves their trees, knows their business and cares about their customers bring their family tradition into your family. Oh, and if you don't crave tradition, but know a good tree and a good deal when you see one contact us and become a special order customer to let Minnesota Bob, or Dave pick the perfect tree for you.

I'm sure everyone has had a difficult year so far dealing with COVID, unemployment, and social distancing. We have all had to make a lot of adjustments to our lives.

As many of you know my mother has been battling Alzheimer's and she recently lost the fight. My perspective changed in an instant. Family is more important than any business can ever be. Along with travel restrictions I have with my full-time job and the uncertainty about the economy. I have decided to shut down Minnesota Bob's in Anchorage. It has not been an easy decision and I have discussed it at length with my dad.

I wanted to let everyone know as soon as possible because many of you have special ordered trees. I want to give you as much time as possible to find a new supplier. I plan to call all my special order customers to let them know.

Please spread the word.

Thank you for being loyal customers over the years. We will miss seeing everyone. Maybe we will see you on the Kenai River in the future.
