Great opportunity to see some talented quilter’s works on Sunday, June 7th in Palmer.

The Valley is home to a vibrant quilting community, and we’re excited to share a new community event - Palmer's "Airing of the Quilts"

Sunday, June 7th from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM, quiltmakers and community members will display a favorite quilt outdoors in the June sunshine. Quilts will be showcased around the Palmer Community Center (Train Depot) and the Downtown Pavilion across from the Palmer Visitor Center.

Participants are asked to remain with their quilt during the event to share its story and help keep it safe — think of it as a car show for quilts.

Registration is open to all and limited to one person, one quilt. Space is limited to 40 quilts, so early registration is encouraged. Registration is open online, Facebook and via email.

To commemorate the First Annual Airing of the Quilts, each participant will receive a complimentary quilt block pattern inspired by this year’s event poster, featuring Alaska’s wild rose in a traditional Baltimore Album appliqué style.

We get asked all the time, if we can ship. Of course we can! We live in Alaska where just about everything is shipped in or out.

We can even make sure it makes the jet instead of a bush plane (unless you are going to rural Alaska--then your package may go via a bush plane!). We ship mostly via USPS Priority mail which gets most places in the United States in two days. Of course, we have also shipped to Germany, Australia, Japan and more.

So don't worry about how much you can fit in your suitcase. It'll probably get home before you do!

Alaskans make the most amazing creations!

We love and are honored to carry celebrated Inupiaq fine artist Sonya Kelliher-Combs’s beautiful earrings. Each one of Sonya’s pairs of earrings are a unique, one of a kind creation, hand made by an innovative artist whose work is featured in museums across the world.

Ivy loves these which feature salmon skin in a fish design—because salmon are life and soul foos in so many parts of Alaska.

For we are highlighting Alaskan artist Teresa Ascone's beautiful Alaska Wildflowers fabrics.

These gorgeous fabrics celebrate Alaska's summer wildflowers frenzy on a solid dark blue background. These beautiful fabrics are laid out in such a thoughtful way and are easy to use for placemats, napkins, notebook covers, bags in addition to quilts. We think they'd make an amazing spring or summer coat!

If you buy two or more yards of the Wildflowers fabrics, we will give you a quilt pattern as a free gift!
