Studio HAA - Hula: An Alliance for the Arts STUDIO HA`A is dedicated to the perpetuation of Hawaiian knowledge, hula culture and the arts throug HA’A is also an acronym for Hula: an Alliance for the Arts.

Studio HA’A is an initiative that is offers unique creative art and cultural experiences. Established in 2015 by indigenous Hawaiian artist and kumu hula, Kēhaulani Kekua, HA’A is an older term for what is more commonly known as, Hula today. ēhaulani Kekua is the kumu hula of Hālau Palaihiwa O Kaipuwai, a traditional hula school that was founded in 1945 by the late hula master, Helen Kaipuwai Kekua Waiau. The halau is deeply rooted in the ancient traditions of ha`a and hula that originated from Ka Ulu A Lono - an ancient heiau or temple for hula that was renown throughout Hawai`i.
