Although I understand why the Governor issued this order, let us all continue to help the environment by using reusable bags.
You can still bring in your bags to the store but will have to bag groceries yourself. It's that or more plastic in the ocean.
Think about it.
Yes, this is temporary. 60 days. But that is 60 days of us making little to no sales. Support small businesses. Help the environment.

Mexico City has banned single-use plastic bags at all shops and has a plan in place to follow up with more plastic bans by Jan. 2021.
