Thank you to everyone who voted for our book club choice for the month of May. We hope to continue having more contests in the future! Because of you, Rare Flavours was crowned the winner 👑

Written by Ram V and illustrated by Filipe Andrade, this graphic novel blends supernatural horror, Indian cuisine, and Hollywood culture while following the journey of a demonic Rakshasa.

April was a great month for our book club and we had some thoughful discussions on Persepolis and her journey against political repression and the struggle of individual identity. 🇮🇷✊🏽

We have compiled some films and graphic novels that are similar to these themes and hope you can check them out, including The Breadwinner (2017) and A Game for Swallows (2012)!

Our book club meets every third Wednesday of the month at 6pm and we can’t wait to celebrate AAPI month with you.

May has just begun, and we will dive into different Indian cuisines in Rare Flavours! 🍛🌶️
