The nicest guy in comics strikes again!
Who else but Charles Daugherty would do something like this. In all of my years of collecting, I have only came across a Hulk 181 one time. It is lower grade but complete.
Chuck surprised me today and came over to my house with a Hulk 180, 181, and 182. He said, "Big Al, I've been thinking about this for years and I think its time to go to a good home. Go grab your copies, we can look them over and you can keep the better ones. Even trade, no cash, no other books, just these 3." I have no words except a big bro hug and a Thank You. He did say I can sell this book at Comicpalooza 30. Lol.
Chuck and I came up with the Comicpalooza idea 12 years ago in the hopes that we could get people to drive from further distances to our little ol town of Amherst if more than 1 person was having a Comic Book Garage Sale. On the 10th Anniversary, Brian Daniels, Eric Anderson, Jamie Stewart, Josh Chrisman and Forest III Hampton had join the party to now make it 7 locations in one city.
Chuck plans on selling the ones I traded him at Comicpalooza this coming weekend. The Hulk 181 he now has does appear to have glue on the staples, but the book is intact with the Marvel value stamp inside.
If you have never been to Chucks, it is a must stop!!! If you have fun stories of Chuck giving you awesome deals ( I know they are out there), I would like to see some on here in the comment section to show Chuck the appreciation we all have for him.
Thank you Chuck for being "The Nicest Guy in Comics" and remember, Comicpalooza is next weekend!!!
