Hey everyone. Bronson here. I gotta pull back the curtain a bit here. I like to think I'm pretty good at preparing for changes in the store, the market, and the industry as a whole, but occasionally I'm completely blindsided. The past 2 months have been an entirely different beast I have never dealt with before. The Retro Game Vault has experienced a HUGE influx of product coming in. Double to almost triple what the average months in the past have brought, while that has been amazing, we have definitely fallen behind.
You know one of the things that makes us a little different here, is we personally test EVERY SINGLE item that goes out for sale. You can imagine how that bottlenecks us sometimes, but I refuse to do it any other way, nobody should have to gamble on if a product they paid good money for, is going to function.
Speaking of money, thanks to the mass influxes of inventory, ironically, you might notice right now that we are out of some of the basics. 90% of the money coming in, has gone right back out in order to buy, test, refurbish, and process trade-ins into the system. So allocating money into other things has been a bit of a struggle. BUT, that's gonna change here REAL soon. Just bear with me for a week or two.
All and all, I just want you all to know that thanks to the turnout we continue to get here, we are entering what feels like a completely new era, one where I can finally feel like some of the out of reach goals are closer than ever. No matter how many days I have to come early and leave super late, no matter how many days off I need to skip to catch up, it's worth it just to hear someone say "the Retro game vault? Yeah that store is pretty good."
Tldr: Changes are coming to make the store better than ever, but you might have to bear with me for a couple weeks while I get everything ready.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk
Unrelated: Hey look at this stack of NES, tested these all, they are moving to the clean and process phase, they will be going out shortly, just gotta make sure it's all as good as I can make it. Feel free to swing in any time 12-7 every day but Sunday!
