There has been a lot of talk in Oklahoma lately about banning books. Instead of banning books can we talk about banning covers where the authors name is bigger than the title? No offense to Stephen King personally intended 😬 (not that he would care about a dead bookstores opinion)

We are so happy to be given the opportunity to partner with That Altus Band for a cinnamon roll fundraiser this year! Mr. Hastings has gone above and beyond with this wonderful idea. When you order through them, you will receive a golden ticket to redeem with us from now and until the end of the year for 1 dozen cinnamon rolls. (We do ask for a 36 hour notice) If you would like to order and help support That Altus Band, contact the Band department directly to get your order in. They will be wrapping up this fundraiser the first of next week so don't wait! Go Bulldogs!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted about a book, but this one is worth posting about. Boxes appear to every adult over 22 years of age, everywhere, mysteriously in one night with the message “The measure of your life lies within”. Inside the box is a string that measures the length of your life. Everyday more boxes as people turn 22. Do you open your box to reveal your fate? As a ghost even I’m not sure if I would have wanted a preview of my fate 😬

Life is a batch made us the cutest cake for our funeral (aka our pity party). Our final chapter here is not the end of our story. We’re heartbroken to no longer be able to serve the community, but we will go on. We’ve learned a lot, had many great adventures, and lots of laughs, but it’s time to say goodbye. (To reiterate Life is a Batch will continue on!)
