All things Chattah***hee are fired up!
The Chattah***hee continues to be a fantastic summertime fishery. The trout fishing has been incredible on all fronts, with float trips and wade trips both being great options to explore the fishery. The fish don’t seem to be too picky at the moment, with stoneflies, worms, perdigons, and small pheasant tails all producing fish. We are still catching a fair number of browns, targeting them in some of the pocket water with long light leaders due to high sun. Whether it’s your first time fishing the area or a seasoned angler, the h***h offers anglers of all skills levels an excellent way to spend a summer day.
As of the last few weeks, the carp fishing on the flats has been gearing up post spawn with both of our carp guides getting on good fish the last little bit. Half days and full days available to target these guys.
Further down the Chattah***hee, shoal bass and striper are being targeted and have been fairly happy and willing to eat. Low water has made it a bit tougher to sneak up on some fish, so targeting the faster deep water has been the move.
