Bruce and I would like to thank all of you for twelve wonderful years of owning the bookstore. I will miss the conversations about reading and books that I have had with many of you. It truly has been a privilege being part of the book community in Alpena, and I wish all of you many wonderful books in your future.

This is our last day open. Beginning tomorrow, there will not be anyone in the store. We will be boxing up any books left over the weekend. If you purchased a bookcase or any other piece of furniture, please message me and we will arrange a time for you to pick them up. If you want to do that today, just give me a heads-up so I can make sure your bookcase is empty. Everything must be moved out by next Friday, August 8. Thank you!!

It's looking pretty empty in here!! We do have some remaining bookcases and two display cases still available. All of our white shelving is spoken for. I have put the price in the caption for each photo. Our final day open for business is this Thursday, July 31. We do have some bookcases still left. The few remaining sideline items are 50% off and the remaining books are $3.00 a bag.

Our going-out-of-business sale continues throughout the next week. A bag of books for $3.00. There are still some bookcases available and a few sideline items. Our hours are Saturday, 10 - 2 and Monday to Friday, 10 - 5. As a reminder, we are not taking in any books or ordering any books. A huge thank you to everyone who came to the store this week not only to shop but to offer their thanks for the time we've owned the store and their support in our decision to close. We really appreciate all of the kind words.

Our bag sale continues until our final day on August 13. If possible, maybe bring a bag (or bags) if you can. We have gone through a LOT of bags and our inventory is getting low. We are open today and tomorrow until six but next week we are out of town so there will be normal business hours, Monday to Friday 10 to 5 and Saturday 10 to 2.

Holy moly, when you advertise a bag sale of books, be prepared!! It was a good thing there were two of us! 🤪🤪🤪 The response was overwhelming but also heartwarming. People, while sad about the store closing, have also been so supportive of our decision. Lots of questions also about the closing date. Our last day is August 13 and yes, the bag sale will continue. We still have lots to choose from and I'm hopeful that our sci-fi, mystery, and western readers come in. And while we have sold many of the bookcases we still have many more. So please stop in and see us.
